Jan. 26

Today I'm home with the flu/cold and I feel HoRrIbLe!!! I want this over so I can get back to school... I had a pretty lazy day, sleeping and watching tv! On the Oprah show today they talked about happiness. A doctor did a study and found that you're born with 50% of the happiness you can attain in your life... the other 50% is up to you. I believe the smallest things in life are what make you the happiest:)

Sunday: Today I went to church with the fam at Anioch, took a nap, and went to see No Strings Attached in Vincennes with Meredith, Brenda, and Cherlyn!! Very, very good movie:)

The dreaded Buggy Bowl!! These games always get me so worked up:) BR lost to ND this time...but there's always sectional!! After the game we went to the Longbranch to celebrate Lauren Beasley's 21st bday!

Another 2 snow days!!!! They basically entailed sleeping in, hangin' out at home, and extra time with good friends!! On Friday I cut 7 inches off...I have yet to take any pictures of it yet, but I'll update soon!

I'm gonna do it!!! All of my long, long hair is going to be chopped off on Friday!!! I want something that is easier and less time consuming; something easy to take care of and do in the mornings! My extra ten minutes of sleep will be well worth the cut :)

Jan. 16

Today we went to church at Anioch and then spent the next 2 1/2 HOURS in Wal-Mart shopping!! I bought some Dr. Scholl's Gel Insertables because my feet have been so sore from standing all day at school, especially when I'm wearing heels, and they feel A-MAZING!!! I highly recommend them to anyone who has sore feet from shoes!! Now I can't wait to put my shoes on in the morning:)

Jan. 15

Today I finally got to sleep in and have a lazy Saturday- no practices, no games, nothing!! Later on in the afternoon, I headed over to Regina's to welcome baby Mason home! Amy and I (and the boys) cooked them a yummy dinner and did some laundry for them!! We also made Mason a "coming home" cake:) I was labeled the "baby-hogger" of the night!! I can't help it- I loooove that little boy!!

Jan. 14

Tonight I headed up to my friend Cole's for a relaxing Friday evening. We had some yummy supper- ribs, pork chops, hash brown casserole, baked beans, etc. and then spent the night playing games that were super fun!! If you've never played Scattegories, Apples to Apples, or Rummicub, you are missing out!! :)

Jan. 13

January 13th held so many special experiences for me, and they were all on my dad's birthday! I love it when God plans so many special things on days that I hold dear to my heart. First of all, this was my first day of student teaching!! I am 15 weeks away from holding a Bachelor's Degree of Education in my hands... I know my dad would be so incredibly thrilled about this!!! Second of all, one of my best friends, Regina Graber, had her little boy, Mason David, on this special day!!! When student teaching was over, I rushed home, went to my Jr. High game to coach my cheerleaders, came home and got dressed for bed, and then headed to the hospital!! Mason arrived around 11 p.m., so it was a late night for all of us!

Jan. 12

Another snow day!!!! I feel like I have been on break FOREVER and I know these two days of sleeping in are spoiling me!! I finally got the girls to get the 4-wheeler out with me so I could pull them around. Should be the other way around, right?! :) I also looked through some old photos- I love doing that!! This is a pic of me and some of my friends as seniors in high school!! :)

Jan. 11

Today was supposed to be my first day of student teaching, but instead.........it turned out to be my first snow day!!!! I couldn't complain too much :) This is a pic of our house in the pretty snow!!

Today I had my student teaching orientation at USI!! They basically just made a brief presentation about what to expect, what not to do, etc. I also took back all the Christmas gifts that needed returned or exchanged! It was a long day/night!... It's so weird thinking that I will no longer be a campus student, instead, my night class will be like a virtual classroom by using a webcam!

Jan. 9

Briona got her hair french-braided by Grandma today after lunch. I had to post this pic because I think she looks adorable and because my dad loooooved when we had our hair braided!! She'll look super-cute for her game tomorrow!! We had lunch at Gma's with all the fam today and stayed until early evening playing games and enjoying eachother's company! :)

I told Bri to give me her game face for tomorrow night and this is what I got!! haha!

Tonight I got to go to the Colts playoff game against the NY Jets and.............we lost! :( I had so much fun before and during the game though, so it was well worth it!! We got to Indy around 4 p.m. and tailgated until the game began at 8 p.m. even though it was freezing outside!! I went with Kelly, Cole and little Ike :) Maybe we'll pull off a win next year!

I got this little shirt for Regina's baby that is due any day now!!! I know I'm not really going to be an "aunt" but it's been a joke between us for a long time that I'm gonna call her little boy my nephew because I love kids so much! I literally can NOT wait for his arrival and to see him in this little shirt ;)

Today I went and jumped in the tanning bed for 20 min. because I was feeling so "white" and I hate that feeling. As I was laying there I thought, "Okay, I wonder how many wrinkles, age spots, and freckles I just added to my face/body?" I hate the thought of premature aging, or worse, skin cancer so about a year ago I asked my doctor about tanning and his thoughts on it. I told him.. I'm not all about being the darkest girl around, I just want to keep a little color on my skin during the dreaded winter months. He told me if I only tan once every 2 weeks, or 2-3 times a month and wear lotion with UVA/UVB protection it shouldn't have too much of an effect on me, considering I'm not burning myself in there as well! So that's what I've been doing!! I also use Jergens Natural Glow Daily Facial Moisturizer everyday and again before I tan (it also has SPF 20) which also helps add some natural looking color without damaging my skin!! I'm at the point in my life where I don't want to be looking 50 when I'm only 40 just so I can look tan today!! ;)

Last night I had cheer practice with my Jr. High girls! I love coaching them and getting to be a fun part of their lives!! This is them lifting me haha..

Tonight I went to Bri's game against Paoli. I looove watching her play and am so excited that I'll be home for the rest of her season!! Go Lady Vikings!! :)

My first cousin, Erica, found out she has a golf-ball sized tumor on the left side of her brain. Today she goes to the specialist to find out more. Praying for a healthy surgery/process/recovery!!

Saturday night, Amy & I went to Kirkman Farm and started playing some Euchre while the boys were finishing up a big Poker game. We ended up playing so many games, the boys joined us, and we were the last to leave. Having fun can consist of so little. :)
